My name is Jennifer Labuschagne and I am currently in my second year of studying
Equine Science at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT).
In the first year of the course we have studied the basics of:
– Anatomy
– Veterinary Science
– Pasture Science
– Breeding (Passed with distinction)
– Computer Application (Passed with distinction)
– Zootechnology
– Nutrition
– Stable Management
In the second year we have studied the basics of:
– Mare and Foal Management
– Stallion Management
– Veterinary Science II
– Agricultural Economics
We are currently studying:
– Stable Management III
– Farriery
– Data Management
– Zootechnology III
For the third year we are required to work a practical year in order to get hands
on experience with a mentor(s), and I would like to inquire if you take students on for next year?
